Reopening work for the Bartolomeu dos Santos Studio ( OBS - from the Portuguese, Oficina Bartolomeu dos Santos, like “hobbes”) is well underway.

With the purchase of equipment by CAT the perseverance of his endowment is guaranteed.

Initial builiding structure and cleaning operations have resulted in a budget, for the restoration of the studio and equipment, estimated at 30 – 40,000 €.

The current step in the process is establishing a nonprofit cultural association – Oficina Bartolomeu dos Santos– to ensure the continuation of Bartolomeu’s project.

To pursue this objective, sufficient means – human and material – are needed to assure the sustainability of OBS.

Towards this goal we count all those resolved in participating in the recovery and furthering of this valuable heritage.

An assembly of those interested is, therefore, urgent, in order to discuss and approve the needed statutes and regulations. We ask those interested in participating (personally or through delegation) to fill out the form (can also be requested by e-mail) and to hand it in at the reception.
